The Role & The Team
Airservices is seeking a Senior Project Server Specialist to manage and support Microsoft Project Server and Project Online across on-premises and SaaS environments. You will develop, administer, and provide technical guidance to ensure reliable solutions for stakeholders. As a key member of the Digital Technology Platforms team, you will contribute to the delivery of a high-performing, accountable function that supports Airservices’ commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, workplace health and safety, risk management, and compliance.
What you’ll do
- Provide expert administration and development in Microsoft Project Server (on-premise and Online) and related M365 technologies, including identifying and implementing upgrades or transitions to SaaS environments.
- Collaborate with business and technical subject matter experts to design and deliver Project Server solutions aligned with user requirements.
- Provide support during testing and deployment, resolve issues, and contribute to exception reporting and action planning.
- Offer technical advice and support to peers and users, maintain best practice source control standards, and coordinate with Enabling Technology Platform teams, customers, and external suppliers
- This role may require on call and after hours work and may require some travel

About you
- 5+ years Project Server system administration role.
- Extensive technical experience with Microsoft Project Server 2016 and Project Online, including system administration, patching, PowerShell scripting, and managing and enhancing Project Server capabilities.
- Proven experience with SQL Server database management, T-SQL development, SSIS, and expertise in SSRS along with other BI and reporting tools.
- Experience in application development is desirable, including familiarity with Visual Studio, source code repositories, and related concepts.
- Demonstrated experience in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and proven track record of ability to learn new technologies and development languages.
- A natural leader and influencer who thoroughly reviews requirements, plans and executes efficiently with minimal rework, anticipates stakeholder challenges, and creatively designs solutions while maintaining strong technical expertise.
- Appropriate tertiary or industry-specific qualifications or evidence of relevant equivalent professional experience.
