Summary

This is a unique opportunity to lead Airservices Australia's enterprise capital investment pipeline and play a key role in shaping the organisation's long-term investment priorities.

As the Needs and Pipeline Lead, you will establish and lead a new enterprise capability responsible for identifying, prioritising and managing the capital investment pipeline, ensuring investment decisions are aligned to strategic objectives, operational needs and long-term financial sustainability.

Working closely with Executives across Airservices, you will provide strategic advice, influence investment priorities and help shape the organisation's future Asset and Services Plan. This role is ideal for an experienced leader who enjoys working at the intersection of strategy, investment and enterprise decision-making.

The Role & The Team

Capital Portfolio Management (CPM) is an enterprise function responsible for improving how Airservices plans, prioritises, manages, assures and governs capital investment across the organisation. The function provides independent investment advice to Executive and Board governance forums and plays a central role in ensuring investment decisions deliver long-term value for Airservices, its customers and the aviation industry.

The Needs and Pipeline Lead will establish and lead Airservices' enterprise investment pipeline capability, providing strategic oversight of future investment opportunities from initial business need through to prioritisation and inclusion within the Airservices Investment Plan.

This includes identifying and prioritising organisational needs, shaping the Asset and Services Plan, and ensuring strong alignment between operational requirements, strategic objectives, and financial capacity while maintaining a clear line of sight between the capital pipeline and the Regulated Asset Base.

The Person

To be successful in this role, 

- Enterprise-level strategic thinking and the ability to translate organisational needs into investment priorities.

- Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience supporting major capital investment decisions.

- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including the ability to work effectively with Executives and senior technical leaders.

- Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting complex information to support evidence-based decision making.

- Proven leadership experience building capability and driving organisational improvement.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance and/or Accounting or relevant experience.

- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning leading initiative development and contributing towards the creation and realisation of annual capital investment plans.

- Demonstrated experience in asset or service planning, investment pipeline management, or large-scale capital portfolio coordination.
