The Role & The Team

The role of Technical Integrator ensures technical integration assurance of the National Airways System (NAS), ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with Airservices standards. This role evaluates and solves technical and operational problems and provides technical project planning across multiple domains. Specifically this role will replace the current Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting Service (ARFFS) radio communications system across any of the 27 fire stations around the country to undertake equipment installations.

Reporting to the Program Manager, you will work closely with the project team, engineers, and technical staff to plan and implement various technology and infrastructure projects. There will be travel involved to our various facilities and aerodrome locations to undertake planning, coordination, installation, and cut-over activities.

The Person

The successful applicant will be self-driven and have a can-do attitude, seeking out ways to ensure targets and deadlines are easily met and outcomes are delivered on. You will be a strong team player and communicator with excellent stakeholder and customer relationship skills.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Relevant technical knowledge of systems
  • Demonstrated extensive technical competency and extensive experience in technical planning, installation, testing and fault finding
  • Demonstrated ability to make high quality decisions, have high quality research skills and problem-solving skills to produce workable solutions in a multidiscipline engineering environment
  • Work with limited technical guidance, in the delivery of technical administration and logistics support services for the national airways system and associated equipment
  • Diploma of Technology in one or more of the following is highly desirable:
    • Radio engineering
    • Communications engineering
    • Electronic/Electrical engineering
    • Other qualifications equivalent to the above
  • ACMA Cablers licence
