The Role & The Team

As a Workforce Deployment Rostering Officer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and optimising operational rosters that support business-critical workforce requirements. Working closely with operational leaders, workforce planning specialists, payroll and people teams, you will balance operational needs, workforce availability, fatigue management principles and enterprise agreement requirements to deliver effective rostering outcomes.

This role offers the opportunity to analyse workforce data, coordinate staffing plans, implement roster changes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and resource utilisation. You will be part of a highly collaborative Workforce Deployment team that prides itself on delivering trusted advice, exceptional service and innovative workforce solutions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The Person

You are an organised and analytical professional who enjoys solving complex workforce challenges and building strong stakeholder relationships. You thrive in fast-paced environments, can manage competing priorities and bring a customer-focused mindset to everything you do.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining or coordinating complex rosters, schedules or workforce deployment activities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify practical and sustainable solutions.
  • Experience working with workforce management, human resources, payroll or scheduling systems, including the ability to learn new applications quickly.
  • Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships across diverse groups.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, efficient and customer-focused services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with experience using SAP or workforce management systems being highly regarded.
