The Role & The Team
As a Community Engagement Advisor, you'll play a key role in helping Airservices engage effectively with communities impacted by changes to aircraft operations. Working closely with technical specialists, environmental experts, government relations and customer engagement teams, you'll develop and deliver engagement strategies, analyse community feedback, manage stakeholder communications and help inform decision-making that balances community interests with Australia's aviation needs. Reporting to the Head of Community Engagement, you'll contribute to projects of national significance while building trusted relationships across a diverse stakeholder landscape.
You'll be joining a collaborative and purpose-driven team that is passionate about meaningful engagement, transparency and delivering positive outcomes for both communities and the aviation industry. The Person
You are a confident communicator who enjoys working with a diverse range of stakeholders and translating complex information into clear, accessible messages. You thrive in environments where relationship building, problem solving and balancing competing perspectives are critical to success.
The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated experience delivering community, stakeholder or customer engagement activities on complex projects.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish credibility across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Experience preparing engagement materials, presentations, correspondence and stakeholder communications.
- The ability to analyse feedback and insights to support evidence-based decision making.
- Experience coordinating engagement events, consultations, forums or community meetings.
- Knowledge of stakeholder engagement frameworks or community consultation methodologies.
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, stakeholder engagement, public relations, environmental management or a related discipline would be advantageous.
- IAP2 certification or membership will be highly regarded.
