Summary

We are seeking an experienced Personnel Security Specialist to join our Security & Resilience team on a 24-month fixed-term basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic security environment, supporting enterprise-wide personnel security programs, workforce risk management initiatives, and Airservices' growing Insider Threat Program.

The Role & The Team

Reporting to the Security Policy and Assurance Lead, you will provide specialist advice and support across the full spectrum of personnel security activities. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will partner with stakeholders across the business to deliver practical, risk-based security outcomes that protect our people, information and operations.

Key responsibilities include:

- Coordinating and supporting Airservices' Insider Threat Program, including stakeholder engagement, case triage, reporting and risk treatment activities.

- Managing complex personnel security and suitability matters, including security clearance lifecycle activities and workforce risk assessments.

- Preparing risk assessments, security briefs, recommendations and decision-support documentation for senior stakeholders.

- Supporting compliance with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) through governance, assurance, monitoring and reporting activities.

- Providing trusted advice to leaders, employees and contractors on personnel security obligations, workforce risk and secure behaviours.

- Contributing to security culture uplift initiatives, personnel security maturity improvements and continuous improvement activities.

The Person

You are a trusted security professional with strong judgement, excellent stakeholder engagement skills and experience navigating complex and sensitive security matters. You thrive in environments where discretion, professionalism and analytical thinking are paramount.

To be successful, you will bring:

- An NV1 Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain and maintain one) and the ability to satisfy ASIC requirements.

- At least five years' experience in security, personnel security, vetting, protective security or related disciplines.

- Sound knowledge of the (PSPF) and personnel security requirements.

- Demonstrated experience managing complex, sensitive or high-risk workforce security matters.

- Strong risk assessment, analysis and decision-support capabilities.

- Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to prepare concise briefs, reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders.

- Advanced Microsoft Office and reporting skills.

Experience working with AGSVA, protective security programs, insider threat initiatives, or government and Defence environments will be highly regarded.

Security Clearance
