The Role & The Team
As the Project Manager – Built Environment (buildings and infrastructure) sustainment, you will lead the planning and delivery of minor to medium-scale building and infrastructure projects across Airservices’ national property portfolio. You will manage the full project lifecycle, from tender, procurement and contract management through to design coordination, approvals, delivery and project close-out. Working closely with consultants, contractors, airport stakeholders and internal subject matter experts, you will proactively manage project risks and issues, oversee schedules, budgets and cashflow forecasts, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. Reporting to the Program Manager Built Environment (BE) Sustainment, you will partner with Finance, Governance and Delivery teams, operational stakeholders, suppliers and contractors to achieve successful project outcomes.
The BE Sustainment team is responsible for upgrading and enhancing critical built assets and infrastructure that support Airservices' operations nationally. The Person
You are a collaborative and solutions-focused project professional who thrives in complex operational environments. You build strong stakeholder relationships, communicate with confidence and take ownership of delivering outcomes while balancing competing priorities.
The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated experience delivering building and infrastructure projects in complex operational environments.
- Proven capability leading tender processes, procurement activities and contractor engagement.
- Strong experience in contract management and contract administration.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, manage and mitigate project risks and issues while maintaining project objectives.
- Experience managing project schedules, budgets, cashflow forecasts and stakeholder reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation and relationship management skills, supported by project management qualifications and experience with Microsoft Project or equivalent tools.
- The ability to travel nationally, the frequency of travel will depend on project needs.
