The Role & The Team

As a Technical Officer ATM, you will deliver maintenance and technical support for critical airways systems that enable safe and efficient air traffic operations. Reporting to the Field Maintenance Manager and guided by Technical Leads, you will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, support system upgrades, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across complex aviation technologies.

You will join a collaborative and safety-focused team within Technology Enablement, working closely with technical specialists and operational stakeholders to ensure the integrity and performance of the National Airways System.

The Person

You are a proactive and technically capable professional who thrives in safety-critical environments. You take ownership of your work, collaborate effectively, and are passionate about delivering reliable, high-quality outcomes.

The successful applicant will have:

• Demonstrated experience maintaining or supporting complex technical or operational systems
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capability
• Effective communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
• Diploma of Technology in one or more of the following: Radio engineering; Communications engineering; Electrical engineering; Electronic engineering; Computer science; Information technology; or qualifications equivalent to the above
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence

Security Clearance

To be eligible to apply, you must be an Australian citizen and able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance, as well as an NV1 Clearance is required
