The Role & The Team

Airservices Australia are seeking a Reconciliations Officer to join our Corporate Finance team in Canberra. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data through high‑quality transactional processing and reconciliations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong reconciliation experience, attention to detail, and confidence working in a structured finance environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare and maintain General Ledger reconciliations
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation variances and transactional discrepancies
  • Process routine financial transactions, including month‑end journals
  • Assist with year‑end reconciliations and supporting documentation
  • Support the Treasury team with transaction processing and bank uploads
  • Upload and reconcile bank statements within SAP and related systems
  • Respond to internal queries and provide accurate financial information
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within finance processes
  • Manage competing priorities to meet deadlines and reporting requirements

The Person

You are a detail‑driven finance professional who enjoys working in a structured, high‑volume environment and takes pride in delivering accurate outcomes. Comfortable navigating financial systems and engaging with stakeholders, you bring a practical, solutions‑focused mindset and adapt well to changing priorities and processes.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in a reconciliation‑focused or transactional finance role
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • The ability to analyse discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently
  • Well‑developed interpersonal skills and a customer‑focused approach
  • Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience using SAP or similar financial systems (highly regarded)
  • A positive and adaptable approach to change and process improvement
