The Role & The Team
We are seeking a Senior Investment Analyst to play a pivotal role in driving financial and performance excellence across Airservices’ capital investment portfolio.
Working closely with the Investment Management Lead, portfolio leads and project managers, you will provide investment insight, financial governance and high-quality analysis to ensure effective capital allocation, disciplined investment decision-making and transparency across our investment portfolio.
This is a highly collaborative role with strong exposure to senior leaders and the Executive, making it ideal for a commercially astute finance professional who enjoys influencing outcomes in a complex, project-driven environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the development and refinement of the Airservices 10-year Investment Plan
- Review and advise on Capital funding submissions and undertake financial impact assessments
- Provide high-quality financial advice, analysis and investment reporting to portfolio leads, project managers and senior stakeholders
- Maintain oversight of capital budgets, forecasts, accruals and variance analysis across portfolios and projects
- Drive standardised financial frameworks, tools, processes and governance across the investment lifecycle
- Lead month-end reporting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance and insightful commentary
- Identify and lead risk mitigation actions arising from budget and performance reviews
- Uplift financial capability and commercial acumen across the project and portfolio community
- Build strong relationships across Finance, Transformation, Portfolio Management and Executive teams

The Person
You are a commercially astute finance professional who thrives in complex, matrixed environments and enjoys partnering with senior leaders to influence outcomes.
You will bring:
- 5 to 10+ years’ experience in financial, commercial or investment management roles
- Strong experience in capital investment analysis, portfolio management and investment prioritisation
- Financial modelling, reporting and analytical capability
- Proven experience working with large ERP systems (SAP experience highly regarded)
- A strong understanding of asset accounting principles and asset lifecycle management
- Highly developed stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and uplift capability across teams
- The resilience and flexibility to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline or equivalent experience
- Membership of CPA Australia or CA ANZ is highly desirable
