The Role & The Team
To address the changing needs of the airspace industry and our customers, Airservices has established the Uncrewed Services Integration (USI) Portfolio to deliver innovative services to our emerging airspace users.
This role will work across a range of projects within USI including the Flight Information Management System (FIMS), Airspace Surveillance/Drone Detection and with crewed aviation data.
You will work at the forefront of data, drones and future airspace innovation with this small and innovative team.
You will collaborate with experts across policy, engineering and technology
You will enjoy purpose driven work with long term stability and growth
To be successful in this role, you bring:
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in data analysis (professional and/or academic)
- Tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or a related quantitative field
- Demonstrated experience analysing complex datasets and delivering clear, actionable insights
- Strong knowledge of database management and data architecture
- Proficiency in SQL, Python and/or R
- Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualisation tools
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex data to non‑technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to self-learn new technical concepts and apply them practically
Desirable experience:
- Geospatial or spatial data analysis
- Aviation, drones, UTM or aerospace related environments
