The Role & The Team:
As a Simulator Support Officer, you will deliver simulation exercises by performing the role of a simulator pilot, simulator air traffic control, and fulfil coordination as other agencies. You will also contribute to the design, development, and delivery of innovative and high-quality competency-based delivery solutions to ensure effective and efficient training outcomes for operational air traffic control. You will ensure that compliance, safety, business, and regulatory requirements are met.
Training is a key enabler for ongoing workforce capability development in air traffic services and presents an exciting platform for innovation and new technologies.

This is a full-time two-year contract position. Shifts will typically fall between 08:00am – 3:30pm Monday to Friday.

The successful applicant will possess the following competencies, skills and qualifications:
Essential Skills
- Must hold and maintain ICAO English Language Proficiency at level 6 or its equivalent.
- Swift and precise analytical thinking, with proven capabilities to assess and action varied information accurately.
- Proven ability to work harmoniously and communicate effectively within a small team environment.
- Seamless adaptation to changing environments and workloads.
- Demonstrated proficiency with prevalent IT software, notably Microsoft Office Suite, and eagerness to embrace new technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and action information/data in accordance with set procedures and set guidelines.
- Competence in performing mental arithmetic accurately and expediently.
- Proven ability to scan, assess, evaluate, analyse and action information from multiple sources.
- Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card
Desirable Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Experience in delivering both theoretical and hands-on training on a one-on-one or group basis.
- General understanding or appreciation of aircraft performance and Air Traffic procedures.
- Acquaintance with Radio Telephony phraseology and the phonetic alphabet.
- Prior experience or familiarity with Air Traffic Control operations and environments.
- Possession of or pursuit towards aviation qualifications, either via flying experience or tertiary studies (Highly Desirable).
