The Role & The Team
Airservices Australia is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Project Engineer – Test & Deployment to support the Western Sydney International Airport (WSIA) Change Program. This role is critical to ensuring the technical readiness and seamless transition of systems into operational service as WSIA prepares to open in 2026.
Reporting to the Integration and Test Manager, you will focus on delivering safe, reliable, and technically sound systems to support the airport’s opening, with a strong emphasis on coordination, compliance, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test strategies, procedures, and deployment plans
- Create work instructions, technical training materials, and logistics support documentation
- Support system integration, verification & validation (V&V), commissioning, and configuration management
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure successful system commissioning
- Travel to project sites as required to support deployment activities

The Person
The successful applicant will have:
- Tertiary qualification in ICT, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, especially in testing, integration, and deployment
- Proven experience in technical transition planning and executing test and deployment activities
- Familiarity with V&V and commissioning processes
- Experience in developing maintenance instructions (desirable)
