The Role & The Team
As Master Scheduler you will develop, analyse and manage an integrated project/program schedule/s and provide advice and reports to Project and Program Managers on overall project schedule and cost performance in order to support the delivery of outcomes and enable benefits related to the organisations strategic objectives. You will also lead and drive consistent practice and scheduling techniques such as Earned Value Management, Dependency Management, Resource allocation, Rolling Wave planning etc.
The Master Scheduler – OneSKY is responsible for the development, integration, and governance of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for the OneSKY Program. The role focuses on the uplift and implementation of critical scheduling capabilities across a multi-entity, multi-system environment involving Airservices, Defence, and strategic vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and continuously improve the OneSKY Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in alignment with EPMO frameworks and uplift roadmap.
- Integrate and harmonise external schedule inputs (e.g., SAAB CMS via ADOT, Thales CMS90, Defence CFS milestones) into the IMS with validated logic ties and milestones.
- Identify and validate cross project dependencies, facilitate the dependency management forum and produce reports and visualisations to senior stakeholders.
- Identification and analysis of the schedule to identify schedule ‘pull back’ opportunities, risks, upcoming tasks, critical path and proactively provide to Project/Program Managers
- Conduct re-baselining activities for inter-project and program-level dependencies across Airservices and Defence stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of IMS governance artefacts including the IMS Management Plan, Governance Procedure, and Change Control Framework.
- Apply enterprise schedule control processes to enable schedule stability, change tracking and configuration control.
- Quality assurance of the schedule including validating external/vendor schedule, health check (14 DCMA Points), and variance analysis
- Design and implement improved IMS update cycles and planning gates, aligned with ASA and Defence reporting cadences.
- Facilitate Defence–ASA and vendor IMS integration forums and contribute to terms of reference, cadence, and reporting artefacts (e.g., IMS health dashboard).
- Perform schedule health checks, float erosion analysis, dependency slippage reviews, near-critical path emergence, and schedule churn assessments.
- Support the configuration of scheduling tools and analytics dashboards to provide automated, integrated outputs (e.g., Plan-on-a-Page, schedule risk indicators).
- Provide technical scheduling advice to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring shared understanding of IMS design principles and uplift initiatives.

About You:
The successful applicant will have:
• Formal tertiary qualification in related or equivalent field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project scheduling, estimation and control.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in all areas of project scheduling techniques such as Earned Value Management, Dependency Management, Resource LoE vs. Discrete allocation, Rolling Wave planning etc,
• Extensive experience in a master scheduler role in supporting the delivery of complex project schedules and programs of work.
• Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of various project program frameworks and methodologies, such as PMBoK, Agile PM, MSP.
• Professional accreditation such as PMI-SP, AACE PSPS or equivalent will be highly regarded but not essential.
• Strong communications skills, including ability to build relationships and effectively influence a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong data and numeric analysis capability to deliver data models and insightful inputs to reporting.
