The Role & The Team
As a Contract Administrator within the Business Services team, you will support your business stakeholders with procurement systems support to enable effective and efficient contract management.
You will have a strong systems knowledge of ARIBA or other similar, source to manage systems, across both upstream and downstream elements of the system, you will be proficient in the use of source to manage systems (preferably ARIBA) as a contract management tool of use and be able to both proactively and reactively advise, assure and set up appropriate workspaces in the system.
Position specific:
- Understand and ensure that all contract management processes are executed as required in accordance with Airservices Procurement and Contract Management procedures, and with reference to Procurement and Contracting best practise.
- Provide sound advice and guidance to key stakeholders on acquisition processes and associated activities, to ensure compliance with the relevant frameworks whilst delivering effective and efficient commercial outcomes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at external suppliers to maintain effective operation of procurement, commercial and governance frameworks.
- Interpret contract terms/conditions and application of relevant laws and legislations, using a working knowledge of contract law and seeking advice for specialised terms and conditions or dispute resolution, as needed.
- Provide proactive management and support to enable internal approvals at all stages of contract lifecycle, including contract initiation, contract execution and contract variations.
- Utilise ARIBA to manage systems, providing advice and guidance to the business group on the associated system processes.
- Actively undertake and support the business to complete in system updates such as terms and conditions setup, pricing terms setup, supplier compliance information and other activities as required to ensure that contract management activities are effective across the organisation.
- Undertake assurance activities and status monitoring within ARIBA to advise on potential compliance issues, and advise business owners, contract managers and the procurement services team on potential issues and recommendations.

The Person
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- Strong business and commercial analytics skills.
- Experience with procurement practices, policy, methods, and practices.
- Strong ability to determine trends and opportunities from data.
- High level of computer literacy, including use of Excel and Word.
- Strong ability to determine trends and opportunities from data.
- Demonstrated ability to draft clear and articulate documentation/memos.
- SAP and/or Ariba experience desirable.
- Experience in undertaking procurement activities across a range of goods and services desirable.
- Commercial acumen and application of strategic thinking in the areas of procurement desirable.
- Ability to critically assess existing processes and procedures to challenge the status. quo and establish increasingly efficient and effective processes desirable.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to plan work assignments, juggle competing demands and work under pressure of frequent and tight deadlines.
- Qualifications/Certification within the discipline area desirable.
