The Organisation
Airservices Australia is a government-owned organisation responsible for the safe and efficient management of 11% of the world’s airspace and provision of aviation rescue firefighting services at Australia’s busiest airports.
Our dynamic and diverse teams operate from locations across the country from bustling cities to regional and remote locations, including an island. We keep Australia’s aviation industry safe every day of the year, both in the air and on the ground.
We connect people with their world safely – linking family and friends, generating economic activity, creating jobs, and facilitating trade and tourism.
We’re shaping a once-in-a-century step-change. Given the emergence of new airspace users, new aerodromes, and a range of new crewed and uncrewed aircraft, we are working closely with our customers and the community, as we adapt our service offerings to cater to these new and diverse aviation participants, ensuring we continue to keep our skies safe while balancing our environmental and social responsibilities.
We encourage motivated individuals who love what they do, value a service- first mindset and embrace a challenge or two… to explore a career with Airservices.
Why Airservices? We offer excellent opportunities, ongoing training throughout your career, and exceptional benefits. You will collaborate with a diverse group of people while doing meaningful work that benefits the Australian community and visitors.
The Role & The Team
Join Airservices Australia’s Shared Services function and act as the functional expert in P2P system support across platforms like SAP and ARIBA. You’ll own the downstream purchasing experience — think shopping carts, ordering, invoice troubleshooting — and play a critical role in driving efficiencies, supporting training, and improving guided buying processes.
Your work will enable operational teams to purchase with ease, ensuring compliance, quality, and timely payment — all while influencing the evolution of our end-to-end systems and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 functional support to P2P users, helping resolve system-related purchasing and invoicing issues.
- Maintain P2P process integrity and compliance across guided buying and invoice workflows.
- Partner with the Shared Services Improvement Team to identify, test, and implement enhancements.
- Support stakeholders with system navigation, training, and technical troubleshooting.
- Promote buying standardisation, aligned with Airservices’ procurement framework.
- Gather feedback and support performance reporting and compliance insights.

The Person
- 3+ years’ experience in a transactional P2P or shared services environment
- Strong working knowledge of shopping cart/purchasing systems and downstream processes
- Experience supporting or improving SAP, ARIBA, or similar systems
- Ability to provide functional system support, not procurement strategy
- Comfort with process mapping, training support, and user engagement
- Stakeholder-focused, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven
This is not a procurement role — it’s a systems and process-focused opportunity within a shared services delivery model. Ideal for someone who enjoys optimising transactional workflows, troubleshooting P2P system issues, and working cross-functionally to drive change.
Airservices Australia is a diverse and inclusive employer that recognises the benefits of having a workforce that reflects the communities in which we work. We encourage applications from diverse groups including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
