The Role & The Team 

This role is being offered as a 24-month fixed term contract 

As a trusted finance partner and analytical expert, you will drive standardised financial frameworks, tools, and reporting to support the Next Generation transformation portfolio. 

This role plays a part in embedding Commercial Finance Portfolio Office (CFPO) best practices while collaborating across project, finance, and executive teams. Every day will bring new challenges, visibility, and creative opportunities for impact. 

You are solutions-focused, driving insightful program portfolio investment decisions and financial processes. 

You will ideally possess the aptitude and financial ability to: 

Deliver insightful project portfolio investment reporting and analysis to support prioritisation, resource allocation, and strategic decision-making 

  • Develop and present actionable insights using Power BI and other analytics tools. 

  • Build and maintain dashboard reporting, enabling data-driven decision-making across critical programs 

  • Support end-to-end financial management of initiatives—budgeting, forecasting, investment tracking, and benefits realisation 

  • Be the custodian and driver of simplified, standardised financial processes, tools, frameworks, and ways of working across project finance teams 

  • Operate in a dynamic environment with interdependent changes, requiring multi-tasking and rapid priority shifts 

  • Think critically and develop new ways of working to solve delivery and operational transition across Finance and the Office of the Chief Operating Officer.

Skilled in risk management, problem-solving, planning, and change management, you navigate challenges confidently to ensure ongoing success. 

Skills and Experience 

The successful applicant will have a mix of technical capabilities and qualifications: 

  •  Tertiary qualifications in Finance or business-related field 
  • Extensive experience in analysing and providing sound financial or commercial analysis and advice across full range of Projects in a complex geographically and professionally diverse organization. 

  • Extensive experience in analysing and providing sound financial or commercial analysis and advice across full range of Projects in a complex geographically and professionally diverse organization. 

  • Experience in reporting and model development and the creation of tools, processes, frameworks and embedding optimised ways of working within a matrix structure.  

  • Strong excel skills and ability to develop Power BI interactive dashboards for use. 

  • Experience working in a large ERP system with controlled workspaces eg SAP and reporting tools such SAP analytics
