The Role and Team

The Payroll Operations Team is responsible for the maintenance and processing of employee records and transactions for all Airservices Australia employees covered under multiple enterprise agreements and individual contracts. 

Reporting to the Payroll Lead, the Payroll Officer will be responsible for processing and maintaining employee pay records, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Processing of employee records including commencements, payments and deductions, and staff movements.
  • Maintain employee superannuation and taxation records.
  • Input and reconciliation of leave entries and entitlements including Purchased Leave.
  • Calculation and processing of employee terminations.
  • Provision of advice to Airservices employees and Managers.

The Person

The successful applicant will have:

  • Experience in a fast-paced high volume work environment.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • High level accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Current or prior experience with payroll and/or payroll systems highly regarded but not essential as training will be provided.
