Summary 

The Western Sydney International Airport (WSIA) Program is responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of Airservices’ service delivery expansion at WSIA. The WSIA Program is delivering various aspects of Airservices’ capabilities to enable WSIA to open in 2026: Digital Aerodrome Services (DAS) (including initial DAS capability at Canberra), Airfield Systems (AS), Aviation Rescue and Fire Fighting Services (ARFFS), and Airspace change.

The Role & The Team 

 As Senior RAMS Engineer, you will be the lead in developing and assessing all aspects of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability & Safety analysis and documents. The role requires you to be a self-starter with superior understanding in data and analytic. It is expected that you will delivery RAMS analysis to support design and safety cases, conduct Logistic Support Analysis, verify suppliers/vendors RAMS report / models and will be the SME in RAMS for the program. It is expected that you’ll be familiar with RAMS tools and is an expert in data analysis, master data and transitional data, and Asset Management & RAMS standards / OEM supplied RAM data. The role will support the delivery of RAMS reports and safety cases, and also the delivery of Support Plans and the establishment of support / CMMS software (SAP, ServiceNow).

 The Role will be reporting to the Technical Transition Manager within the Engineering & Technology Team of the portfolio. 

This Role Will Include:

  • Perform systems engineering tasks in accordance with the Airservices' Technology Management Framework (TMF) and other relevant processes, policies and guidelines.
  • Develop, update and implement SEMPs
  • Safety assurance planning and reports
  • Configuration Management Plan and managing configuration baseline
  • Engineering assurance activities and reports
  • Requirements development and management
  • Hazard identification and analysis
  • Safety Risk assessment and management (Qualitative & Quantitative approach)
  • Management of Project Hazard Logs and Safety Risk Registers
  • ALARP/SFAIRP argument development
  • Development of safety arguments and safety cases
  • Requirements Capture Verification and Validation

The Person To be successful in this role, you will need to possess: 


Essential:

  • Holds at least a tertiary engineering qualification that is accredited by Engineers Australia in the Professional Engineer Category.  
  • As RAMS domain specialist, has experience in:
    • RAMS software such as Reliasoft.
    • PHA, Quantifiable Risk Assessment, SFAIRP assessment, FMECA, RCM, RBD, Life-data and repairable systems analysis, simulation, FTA.
    • ISO 55001
    • SQL, PowerBI, Visual Basic
    • GIS, GoogleEarth
    • Master Data Management
    • Data analytics
    • Use, Configure and Implement CMMS (such as Maximo, SAP, ServiceNow)
    • Major Projects RAMS engineering role
    • O&M Projects RAMS, Master Data, CMMS application and implementation

Preferable:

  • Post-graduate qualification in Reliability Engineering
  • Holds, or can receive CPEng from Engineers Australia
