Summary
We're seeking a motivated Protective Security Specialist to join our Security & Resilience team. This is an exciting 24-month fixed-term opportunity to contribute to enterprise-wide protective security initiatives, support compliance and assurance activities, and help strengthen security outcomes across one of Australia's most critical infrastructure organisations.

The Role & The Team
Reporting to the Security Policy and Assurance Lead, you'll provide coordination, reporting and operational support across Airservices' protective security function. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll help drive protective security governance, incident management, compliance activities and security uplift initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating protective security activities, reporting, records and action tracking across Security & Resilience.
- Supporting the triage, coordination and tracking of security incidents, issues, enquiries and requests.
- Maintaining security registers, evidence records, dashboards and governance documentation.
- Supporting compliance with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), aviation security requirements and internal assurance obligations.
- Assisting with security risk assessments, security reviews, physical security assurance activities and project security initiatives.
- Coordinating meetings, workshops, briefings and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Contributing to the development of security procedures, awareness materials, reporting products and communications.
- Supporting the delivery of Airservices' Enterprise Security Uplift Program.

The Person
You are an organised and proactive security professional with strong coordination skills and a practical, risk-based approach to security challenges. You enjoy working with a broad range of stakeholders and have the ability to balance governance, compliance and operational priorities.
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- Experience in protective security, governance, compliance, assurance, incident management or related disciplines.
- Knowledge of protective security principles, risk management frameworks and security governance practices, ideally within a government, aviation, critical infrastructure or regulated environment.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with experience maintaining records, managing actions and coordinating outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, briefings, minutes and stakeholder communications.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build productive working relationships across diverse teams.
A Certificate IV in Security Risk Management, Investigations, Compliance, Project Coordination or a related discipline will be highly regarded but is not essential.
