Summary
Play a key role in maintaining and installing HVAC and mechanical systems that support Australia's air traffic control and aviation rescue firefighting operations. Working from Sydney Airport and across NSW, you'll be responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance on critical infrastructure including chilled water systems, cooling towers, air handling units, BMS, and split systems. You also can expand your skills into specialised aviation equipment such as RADAR and power generation systems, all while enjoying the stability, career development and unique challenges that come with supporting Australia's aviation network.

The Role & The Team
In this role you will be part of a high performing team who are responsible for carrying out maintenance and installation activities on critical air traffic control and aviation rescue and firefighting systems, ensuring the operational safety and integrity of the Australian national airways system.
As a member of this team you would be responsible for:
- Performance of time sensitive preventive and corrective maintenance, and project installation activities in accordance with prescribed processes and procedures;
- Maintaining an awareness and understanding of the impact that work undertaken can have on Airservices systems;
- Timely and accurate data entry into the maintenance management systems;
- Actively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of service delivery and work practices.

The Person
- Experience maintaining and installing HVAC systems, including chilled water systems, cooling towers, air handling units, building management systems, packaged units and split systems.
- The ability to plan, organise and prioritise work with limited supervision to deliver quality outcomes.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and reliability.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective working relationships within a technical team
- A commitment to safety, continuous improvement and delivering a high standard of service.
- An interest in developing new skills and expanding into aviation-critical systems and infrastructure.
Essential Qualifications
- Certificate III in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
- Current ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence.
- NSW Restricted Electrical Licence.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- White Card and current CPR/LVR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Desirable
- Experience with diesel generators or power generation systems.
- Dogging or Forklift Licence.
This role performs Safety Sensitive Aviation Activities and as such is subjected to our Drug and Alcohol Management Procedure (DAMP).
