The Role & The Team
A Rostering Officer is required to deliver an efficient and effective workforce deployment rostering service to our operational cohort in relation to the timely and correct development, publication, and maintenance of rosters.
This role takes ownership of and champions the end-to-end workforce deployment rostering services for roster groups, utilising all available resources, systems and tools whilst striving for a high level of service quality and continuous improvement.

We are looking for the right person to efficiently manage workforce deployment and rostering for Airservices Australia.
Responsibilities include developing, optimizing, and maintaining high-quality rosters, adhering to guidelines, and interacting with various software systems. The role also includes generating staffing plans, producing reports, and implementing changes to staff placements. Maximizing resource utilization, minimizing staffing costs, and identifying areas for efficiency are key.
The successful candidate will build strong working relationships, seek and act on feedback, support team performance, prioritise workload, and ensure a high level of customer service. They must also comply with safety requirements and deliver FRMS‑compliant strategic rosters.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, solid computer proficiency, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities. They will also show initiative to improve existing practices and maintain a commitment to high‑quality customer service and operational excellence.
