The Role & The Team 

This Team Leader position sits within the EPMO—Airservices’ centre of excellence for portfolio, program, and project management. The EPMO drives transformation through strategic insights, reporting, and performance analysis, while delivering core disciplines such as scheduling, risk management, assurance, and business analysis. Using a matrixed model, it provides dedicated scheduling support and guidance across all transformation projects. 

We are seeking a Project Scheduling Team Leader to lead a team of schedulers and drive best-practice scheduling across our portfolio of programs and projects. 

In this leadership role, you will: 

  • Manage and mentor a team of schedulers, ensuring effective allocation of work and adherence to standards. 

  • Define and uplift scheduling practices to support reporting, resourcing, demand and forecasting. 

  • Develop, analyse and maintain project and program schedules, providing insights to Project and Program Managers. 

  • Drive consistent scheduling techniques such as Earned Value Management, Dependency Management and Rolling Wave planning. 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure robust scheduling and resource profiles for investment cases. 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on project estimating and cost control.

The Person 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.  
  • Minimum 10  years’ experience in project scheduling, estimation and control.  

  • Expertise in scheduling techniques and resource demand forecasting.  

  • Knowledge of project management frameworks (PMBoK, Agile PM, MSP).  

  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.  

  • Professional accreditation (PMI-SP, AACE PSPS) highly regarded.
