The Role & The Team

As the Quality Assurance, Safety & Service Improvement (QASSI) Lead, you’ll ensure Airservices meets ICAO, CASA, and ISO standards while driving continuous improvement across aeronautical information and flight procedure design. You’ll lead a team of QSI specialists to deliver audit and compliance activities, implement quality management initiatives, and enhance processes through data-driven insights. Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll establish protocols to monitor system performance and champion innovative solutions that optimise safety, efficiency, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the QASSI team to ensure compliance with regulatory and technical standards.

- Drive innovation and service improvement initiatives aligned with Aeronautical Information Management/Airspace & Flight Path Design business strategies.

- Oversee audits, assurance activities, and ISO accreditation processes.

- Develop and implement quality management systems and continuous improvement plans.

- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to progress data and information improvement initiatives.

- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service outcomes.

- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to build a high-performing team.

You’re an aviation professional who is passionate about driving quality, safety, and service excellence. A confident leader, you know how to inspire and develop high-performing teams while creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Strategic and detail-focused, you thrive in complex environments, balancing priorities under pressure and delivering innovative solutions that enhance operational performance.

To excel in this role, you’ll bring:

- Extensive experience in the aviation industry with strong knowledge of aeronautical information standards.

- In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, standards, and procedures, with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements.

- Expertise in quality management principles and ISO 9001:2015.

- A proven track record in audit, assurance, and compliance activities.

- Proven leadership skills with the ability to build capability and foster a high-performance culture.

- Strong analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.

- Resilience under pressure and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, supported by excellent numerical, written, and verbal communication skills.
