The Role & The Team
We’re seeking a strategic and visionary Operations Transformation Manager to lead the transition to the next-generation Civil-Military Air Traffic Management System (CMATS). This role is pivotal in driving operational change, establishing governance frameworks, and ensuring readiness across Airservices and Defence. You’ll lead cross-organisational teams, manage transition assurance activities, and deliver a harmonised national air traffic management capability without compromising safety or service standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead transformation initiatives aligned with CMATS objectives
- Establish and manage governance frameworks and transition readiness metrics
- Facilitate joint transition assurance and reporting
- Develop a live transition readiness dashboard
- Engage with senior stakeholders across Airservices, Defence, and industry partners
- Foster a high-performing, resilient workforce through inclusive leadership

The Person

You will excel in change management, stakeholder engagement, and governance, and bring a collaborative mindset to drive readiness across civil and military domains. Familiarity with air traffic management and a passion for leading high-performing teams through change are key to success in this role.
The successful applicant will have:

- Experience in large-scale transformation within regulated environments
- Familiarity with Australian air traffic management operations
