Salary: ASA6 $108,280 - $127,729 + 14% Super (based on experience)

About the Role 

We’re looking for a Payroll SAP System Specialist to join our team in a permanent full-time capacity, based in Brisbane, Sydney or Canberra. 

This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in SAP HR (Payroll) systems and a passion for system optimisation and support. You’ll play a key role in enhancing payroll system functionality, coordinating system changes, and resolving complex technical issues—ensuring our payroll operations remain smooth, compliant, and future-ready. 

You’ll work closely with our Payroll Services team and external SAP consultants to deliver system improvements, lead testing efforts, and provide expert guidance on SAP configuration and troubleshooting. 

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead and coordinate SAP HR (Payroll) system changes driven by legislation, enterprise agreements, and business needs 

  • Provide expert-level SAP support to Payroll Operations 

  • Liaise with SAP consultants to ensure accurate and compliant system configuration 

  • Manage end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT) 

  • Investigate and resolve complex system issues, including data mismatches 

  • Support training delivery and process optimisation initiatives 

  • Assist with internal and external audit activities

What You’ll Bring 

  • Extensive experience with SAP HR (Payroll) systems 

  • Proven ability to analyse and resolve complex SAP system issues 

  • Understanding of payroll processes, superannuation legislation, and enterprise agreements (or ability to quickly acquire this knowledge) 

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and prioritisation skills 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities 

  • A mindset geared towards technology adoption and continuous improvement
