Summary

As Noise and Emissions Lead are you ready to shape and deliver our environmental strategies for aircraft noise and emissions. In this pivotal role, you’ll champion initiatives that reduce aviation’s environmental footprint while balancing industry needs with community expectations.

In this influential role you will:

  • Lead, develop and implement strategies to minimise aircraft noise impacts and reduce emissions.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce noise abatement.
  • Develop pathways to reduce aircraft emissions.
  • Collaborate across government, industry, airports, airlines and community stakeholders.
  • Represent Airservices in national and international forums, strengthening our environmental leadership.
  • Mentor environmental specialists and foster a culture of innovation and accountability.
  • Join a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and service excellence.

The Role & The Team

Your strategic thinking, ability to influence at all levels, and proven track record aviation and environmental operations will be essential to championing effective change leadership, delivery, and embedding of successful deliverables across the wider business.

The role will see you collaborating and partnering with cross-functional teams within Airservices including government relations, community engagement, media and operational areas and you will be a valued and rewarded member of this small but focussed team.

Skills, Qualifications and Competencies

  • Expertise in aviation and environmental management, with experience in airlines, airports, or ANSPs (e.g. Airways NZ, UK NATS) highly regarded.
  • Alternatively, a strong background in sustainability, community engagement or PR from sectors such as mining, oil & gas or resources.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders, translate data into insights, and deliver pragmatic solutions.
  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental management, sustainability, or related discipline.
  • Strong background in operational strategy, and process optimization.
  • Knowledge of regulated industries is desirable along with experience in stakeholder management, particularly in highly regulated environments.
