The Role & The Team 

This role is responsible for the monitoring, maintenance, and installation of vital Communication, Navigation, Surveillance and Infrastructure (CNSI) and Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems that support Air Traffic Control (ATC) and Aviation Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) operations. It also plays an important part in leading and supporting the CNSI and ATM teams.

What you’ll do

  • Maintain complex CNSI and ATM assets with minimal supervision, following set standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert technical support to the Field Maintenance Manager and help lead and develop a specialist team responsible for maintaining CNSI, ATM systems, and other assets that support ATC and ARFF operations.
  • Ensure the team delivers efficient and high-quality technical services by managing daily task allocation, such as handling faults and maintenance requests.
  • Assist the Field Maintenance Manager with managing and scheduling work to ensure compliance with Airservices’ business systems, processes, and reporting requirements.

About you

  • Ability to contribute to strategic change and improvement in a large organization by thinking critically and objectively to solve complex problems.
  • Strong technical expertise in CNSI/ATM systems combined with leadership experience, with the ability to develop innovative solutions and influence positive outcomes.
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience driving and supporting business improvement initiatives.
  • Possess valid working at height and rigging endorsements, along with the required ACMA registrations and certifications.
