The Role & The Team
Join Our Team as we embark on the next phase of our performance and insights journey
As the Leading Performance and Insights Specialist, you will act as the technical lead for the Performance and Insights team. In addition to providing expert applied technical guidance you will design, develop and implement intelligence-focused performance dashboards, analytics and related products and reporting that delivers multi-domain performance and risk insights spanning WHS, security, noise, environment, customer engagement.
Your underpinning knowledge in data engineering, analytics and technical program management, and capability to coordinate across a diverse portfolio of products and stakeholders ensures data integration, governance and integrity in an increasingly risk and insight driven operating environment.
Qualifications, Skills & Competencies:
- Demonstrated expertise in the end-to-end process of designing, building, maintaining intelligence focused performance dashboards, analytics and related products, using Power BI/Excel based visualisations and/or proprietary analytics tools such as Service Now Platform Analytics or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in utilising platforms including Power BI Fabric and Snowflake to build deployment pipelines for data, sourced from multiple systems in various formats (e.g. CSV/Excel, SharePoint Lists) or via APIs.
- Demonstrated experience of data modelling using scripting languages (e.g. SQL, python, R) and the use of version control.
- Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) data warehousing principles including a medallion structure for data storage.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex performance issues and data sources, and collaboratively or independently generate qualitative and quantitative insights.
- Demonstrated expertise in the development and delivery of high-quality performance reporting outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, succinct and engaging material for business and Executive/Board audiences.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management and coaching capabilities.
- Demonstrated applied evidence of a continuous improvement mindset and ability to respond to stakeholder requirements.
- Tertiary qualifications in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology/Management or equivalent.
- 4+ years’ experience using Power BI (data modelling, transformation and visualisation).
- Multi-disciplinary domain knowledge (WHS, environment, security or aviation) well regarded but not essential.
