Summary

Ensure technical integration assurance of the National Airways System (NAS) ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with Airservices policies, procedures, instructions, as per operational and regulatory requirements.

The Role & The Team

The Project Technical Integrator ensures smooth integration of system changes in compliance with Airservices policies and regulations, resolving technical and operational issues to enhance service delivery for the National Airways System (NAS).

What does a day look like?

  • Plan and design across mechanical, electrical, and structural systems to support the NAS.
  • Maintain expertise in technical project planning and relevant computer applications.
  • Advise on system design for practicality and maintainability, including integration of standalone equipment.
  • Coordinate stakeholders and facilitate effective communication within project teams.
  • Mentor peers, aligning behaviours with Airservices values and compliance standards.
  • Apply technical judgment to decision-making and manage project changes effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and risk management frameworks.
  • Monitor and address operational impacts, escalating issues as necessary within the project team.

The Person

The successful applicant will have extensive technical skills in planning, installing, testing, and troubleshooting. They will  apply their knowledge effectively by understanding equipment, policies, and procedures. Their strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities enable them to find solutions in various engineering settings. They will also manage procurement and supply chain processes independently while providing technical support for the national airways system and its equipment.

For Technical Officers

  • The minimum academic qualification for technicians as specified in the Manual of Standards

(MOS) Part 171.

  • Diploma of Technology in one or more of the following:
  • Radio engineering
  • Communications engineering.
  • Electrical engineering
  • Electronic engineering.
  • Computer science.
  • Information technology; or
  • Qualifications equivalent to the above.

For Trade Qualified Officers

  • The possession of relevant licensing as specified by Legislative and/or Airservices requirements.
