The Role & The Team

As Manager Network Technology Platforms, you will lead the delivery, transformation, and continuous improvement of network and telecommunications services across Airservices. You will be responsible for ensuring these platforms operate safely, reliably, and in line with business and regulatory requirements. This includes managing internal technical teams and third-party providers, establishing strong governance and controls, and driving performance and operational risk management.

  • Deliver a strategic, risk-based roadmap for network and telecom platforms.
  • Lead complex technology projects, advising senior stakeholders on architecture, innovation, and performance uplift.
  • Manage vendor ecosystems, contracts, and SLAs to ensure robust service delivery and compliance.
  • Oversee budgets, drive cost efficiencies, and evaluate emerging technologies for operational advantage.

The Person

  • Hold relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrate equivalent professional experience in network or telecommunications technology.
  • Proven experience in commercial contract management, with strong negotiation skills and a proactive approach to reviewing, right-sizing, and optimising contracts to deliver favourable outcomes for Airservices.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to raise issues constructively and track progress against plans with partners.
  • Deep understanding of contractual deliverables, SLAs, KPIs, and service credits, with a focus on cost-saving and performance optimisation.
  • Strong vendor management skills with hands on experience in uplifting vendor performance through structured and planned methods
  • The ability to attain Negative Vetting Level One (NV1) Commonwealth Security Clearance.
