Join our Facilities & Property Team and step into a pivotal role where you’ll oversee a significant sized and diverse portfolio of aviation-critical sites across NSW, including air traffic control towers, radar, navigation, fire stations & corporate facilities ensuring compliance with Commonwealth land and CASA regulations.
This role is ideal for a self-starter with strong experience in hard and soft services, contract management, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll play a key role in the Western Sydney International Airport (live in 2026) and existing assets supporting minor projects and ensuring facilities are delivered on time and within budget.
Your role will involve supporting the National Facilities Lead in delivering facilities management services aligned with operational and organizational strategies.
Facilities Management Responsibilities:

Operations & Compliance: Deliver facilities management services across the region, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory standards (e.g., Building Codes, WHS, Security, Environment).

Budget & Contracts: Monitor and report on budget performance; support contract management for maintenance services.

Project & Strategy Support: Assist with minor works and change programs; align operations with strategic business goals.

Maintenance & Vendors: Coordinate routine and preventive maintenance; manage vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost-efficiency.

Sustainability & Safety: Promote sustainability initiatives and support safe handling of hazardous materials, including asbestos.

The Person

Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing continuous improvement within the built environment, Facilities Management and/or project management across a complex multi-site region with diverse facilities. Aviation or government infrastructure experience preferred

Leadership: Demonstrated experience in overseeing staff in remote locations and the ability to motivate and mentor team members to achieve positive results.

Procurement and Contract Management: Demonstrated experience in procurement activities, program, and contract management related to Facilities Management.

Contractor Relationships: Strong contractor relationship development and experience in managing key suppliers and contractors for the provision of Facilities Management services.

Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with team members, senior managers, and internal
