The Role & The Team
Airservices and the aviation industry are going through major changes, with our systems and services set to transform over the next 5 to 10 years. Under a new operating model in the Chief Operating Officer group, the EPMO supports delivery across transformation programs by providing key services like frameworks, assurance, reporting, and specialist advice. Within the EPMO, the project control stream focuses on delivering control and assurance functions, including scheduling, estimating, quality management, and risk advisory.
As a Senior Risk Management Advisor, you will work in a small team to support major capability, technology and infrastructure programs and projects across Airservices. You will help identify and manage risks, provide advice, and support better decisions by following clear frameworks. Working across different teams, you will also help improve how risk is managed and support a strong culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Lead and support effective risk management by identifying, analysing, and reviewing risks with key stakeholders, ensuring up-to-date registers and strong controls.
- Support the generation and delivery of succinct and insightful risk management reports for Airservices Transformation projects, programs and portfolios, including through presentations, to inform executive level decision making.
- Support the development and rollout of the Risk Management Framework and help build risk capability across transformation programs through training and guidance.

The Person
The successful candidate will have:
- Comprehensive understanding of ISO 31000 Risk Management principles, processes, and application in project (cost, schedule & budget), operational and technical risk. Relevant qualification would be viewed favourably.
- Proven experience in analysing complex project risks, delivering clear, insightful reports, and implementing risk processes to monitor control effectiveness.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships across all levels.
- Proven ability to lead risk management workshops with senior project and program managers, effectively engaging stakeholders to influence, negotiate, and drive outcomes.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience in coaching and training teams on risk management concepts and their application.
