The Role & The Team

In this new role, you will lead the strategic uplift of leadership and performance across the organisation, ensuring both are clearly defined, measured, and embedded to drive transformation and growth.

Reporting to the Head of Talent and Capability you will be responsible for building leadership capability, focusing on behaviours, skills, and accountability, and enhancing the performance management framework to support a high-performing, values-aligned culture.

This role also plays a key part in embedding our Employee Value Proposition (EVP) by aligning leadership and performance practices with the organisation’s purpose, values, and strategic priorities. The successful candidate will contribute to the long-term success of the organisation through effective relationship management and an outcomes-focus for all deliverables.

Key Functions of the role include:

  • Provide expert advice on leadership capability and performance management in the context of organisational transformation.
  • Define and articulate the leadership capabilities required to deliver strategic transformation working with the Leads across Talent and Capability to refresh the organisation’s Capability Framework.
  • Lead the redesign and implementation of a performance management framework that supports continuous improvement, clarity of expectations, and growth.

The Person

  • Ability to lead enterprise-wide capability uplift and complex strategic projects.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and aligns initiatives with organisational strategy and values.
  • Embed EVP into leadership and performance practices.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and authentic leader focused on trust and empowerment.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement leadership programs, capability frameworks, and performance tools.
  • Apply OD principles including change management, leadership development, and performance management.
  • Prior experience in government owned enterprises would be advantageous.
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, OD, L&D, or related fields; postgrad certifications desirable.
  • 5–10 years’ senior experience in strategic HR or capability roles.
