The Role & The Team
This role is responsible for managing and configuring operational airways systems to ensure the safety and performance of the National Airways System (NAS). Using advanced analytics and system adaptation, the position plays a key role in shaping system behaviour and meeting both local and national aviation requirements. High standards in data management are critical, as they directly impact safety, efficiency, and operational outcomes across the organisation and its customers.
- Proven experience in aviation operations, air traffic management, or related systems.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data configuration and system adaptation.
- Familiarity with CASA, ICAO, and other aviation regulatory standards.
- Ability to interpret complex operational requirements and translate them into system data.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in high-stakes environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with operational systems used in flight coordination, pilot briefings, or airspace management is highly desirable.

About You:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data and configuration management.
- Solid understanding of airways systems or similar operational systems.
- A team player with excellent communication skills across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Experience working with ATM system data files and air traffic management systems (highly desirable).
- Background in IT, computer science, or aviation systems (highly desirable).
- Training or assessment experience is a plus.
Security Requirements
- Must be an Australian citizen.
- Able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
Qualifications
- Degree, diploma or certificate in IT, Engineering, or Aviation, or equivalent experience.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent (highly desirable).
