The Role & The Team:
As a System Integration Engineer within the OneSKY & Aerospace Program, you will play a critical role in planning and managing the technical integration of new service systems and capabilities. Reporting to the Integration Engineering Design Manager, you will be allocated responsibility for interfaces within one or more of the following system categories: Business Data, Flight Data, Tower, Meteorological, Surveillance, and Voice and Communications. You will contribute to the integration of 37 systems across 3 major Projects, working collaboratively across engineering, operational, and program teams to ensure successful interface design, planning, and verification.
Your responsibilities will span the development and documentation of technical interface specifications, data flows, and logical and physical architectures that support the OneSKY Program’s objectives. You will also support the creation and review of engineering documentation, contribute to test scenarios, assist during test campaigns, and help ensure that safety, security, and operational documentation is in place to support integration into production systems and transition to service.
This is a unique opportunity for an adaptable and solutions-focused integrator to operate in a complex system-of-systems environment. The successful applicant will be a critical thinker and effective problem solver, capable of working closely with stakeholders at all levels across Airservices, the Department of Defence, and external vendors to ensure collaborative, integrated outcomes.
The OneSKY Australia Program is responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of Airservices’ next-generation services, including the future Civil-Military Air Traffic Management System (CMATS)—a joint initiative with the Department of Defence.

The Person
Our new team member is a motivated self-starter, responsible for the integrity of the requirements of Enterprise IT Integration and will ensure the compliance of the integration products delivered as part of their project.
The successful applicant will have:
- A four-year, Bachelor of Engineering, or equivalence which is assessed/accepted by Engineers Australia.
- Current registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is required or equivalent.
- Demonstrate capacity for working under limited direction on technical, operational and administrative matter.
- Has sound research and analytical skills including the ability to interpret and respond to situations that may fall outside previously experienced problem areas.
- Able to perform project or task requirements that demand ideas, analysis, evaluation of alternatives and creative solutions.
- Sound communication and negotiation skills including the ability to represent the Business Group in the provision of technical and non-technical information and advice to customers and other key stakeholders.
- Knowledge of, and design experience using, Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) – desirable
- The flexibility to travel interstate, when required.
