The Role & The Team

As the Project Engineer, you will report to the Infrastructure Engineering Manager and lead the delivery of the technical components of projects designing and constructing facilities within the OneSKY Program.

You will support project and program managers to deliver against the scope, time, cost, quality and people objectives of the projects. Your technical input is critical to all aspects of architectural and engineering design, construction, commissioning and implementation of high reliability buildings, plant and equipment required for OneSKY Implementation.

You will be the single point of accountability for all technical aspects of the assigned infrastructure projects and will coordinate all technical documentation. The position is highly influential in decision making & participates in general project management and the governance process.

The Person

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar from an Australian tertiary institution or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities alongside advanced negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to present complex and challenging solutions to multiple stakeholders highlighting benefits and risks.
  • Extensive construction experience, particularly with high reliability electrical and mechanical services requirements.
  • Experience in the application of systems engineering in a project environment
  • Proven ability to manage scope, timelines, people and expectations within a project environment
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Demonstrated experience in relating & networking in varied environments
  • Proven ability to successfully implement new systems in a complex, diverse and highly regulated environment.
  • Understanding of risk management and its application in the delivery of the project
