The Role & The Team
The Enterprise Architect plays a key role at Airservices by making sure digital and technology investments support long-term goals. This helps build systems that are secure, scalable, and ready for future needs.
This role sits within the Technology Enablement group and reports to the Enterprise Strategy & Architecture Manager.
- Contribute to digital strategies that enhance safety, efficiency, and performance across future operations.
- Design and communicate architecture plans that turn long-term goals and industry trends into practical tech solutions.
- Develop roadmaps to guide investment in technology and capabilities aligned with strategic outcomes.
- Translate complex architecture ideas into clear business value through storytelling and executive engagement.
- Identify and assess emerging technologies and approaches to support innovation and digital transformation.
- Represent Airservices in national, regional, and international forums to influence standards and ensure strategic alignment.
- Support governance and promote best practices using architecture tools and frameworks like TOGAF and Orbus Infinity.

About You
- Essential: A degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (postgraduate qualifications highly regarded) or equivalent professional experience.
- Highly Desirable: Certification in TOGAF.
- SFIA Framework (Version 9), skills in strategic planning, enterprise architecture, emerging technology monitoring, consultancy, and stakeholder management.
- Proven ability to plan and align technology strategies, with business goals to support safety, efficiency, and performance.
- Strong experience in designing enterprise architecture blueprints and roadmaps to translate strategic goals into practical digital and technology solutions.
- Skilled in identifying and applying emerging technologies to support innovation and digital transformation.
- Ability to provide expert advice and use architecture tools and methods, such as TOGAF, to support consistent practices.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management across diverse teams and industry forums.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to influence decisions and explain complex ideas clearly.
