The Role & The Team
The Security Systems Coordinator is responsible for managing the current and future operations of Airservices' National Electronic Security Systems. This role requires expertise in access control systems, ID access cards, intruder detection, intercoms, and CCTV to support security initiatives. Working closely with IT, the role focuses on new projects, resolving issues, and managing existing sites.
A key duty is maintaining detailed records of all security system assets across Airservices Australia. As a vital part of the Security team, the role also involves collaborating with external contractors to oversee technical security infrastructure while ensuring safety, environmental, WHS, risk, and compliance standards are met.
In this role you will collaborate with Airservices IT departments to resolve network issues and support new projects utilizing IT networks. Manage tasks through the job ticketing system, including raising tickets, prioritizing tasks, and completing work accordingly. You will be responsible to maintain and apply technical knowledge to support Airservices' security systems and ensure strong security protection.
In this role you will have had product training and certification in systems such as Jaques Intercom, Gallagher, Avigilon, Integrity, Concept 4000, and TECOM V8/V10 (including 4G alarm transmission). Also, have a basic understanding of Type 1A alarm systems and the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
This role reports to the Security and Systems Manager and may require occasional interstate travel. You will also serve as the main point of contact for local airport operators.

The Person
- Experience in configuring, managing, and maintaining computer systems, supporting applications, identification card production systems, electronic access control, and CCTV systems.
- Knowledge of alarm detection systems, alarm transmission to receiving centres, analogue and IP intercom systems, and relevant Australian and international security standards and policies.
- Experience in developing and applying security system procedures
- Exceptional customer service abilities with strong verbal and written communication skills.
