The Role & The Team

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual with expertise in performing Radiation Hazard (RADHAZ) assessments to join our team. As an engineering specialist (RADHAZ), you will lead the planning and conduct of Radio Frequency (RF) radiation site surveys to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant legislation and protection of the public from radiation hazards. This role requires strong technical expertise in RADHAZ assessments, along with the ability to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders. This position will require extensive travel across Australia.

The Person

The successful candidate must have:

  • Strong understanding of RF radiation safety principles and regulations.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience conducting RF radiation site surveys and hazard assessments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal legislation, as well as ARPANSA and Australian standards pertaining to RF radiation site surveys.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work independently. It’s expected that as part of this role at least 40% of the work is performed from remote locations.
  • Experience with developing technical documents.
