The Role & The Team

Join Our dynamic Security Team and reap the rewards!

As a Senior Security Governance Specialist, you'll dive into a multifaceted role where you'll curate and manage a wealth of security governance materials, provide unwavering support to our internal stakeholders, and craft and deliver top-notch security training and promotion. Your expertise will be instrumental in steering Airservices towards compliance with the Australian Government’s Protective Security Policy Framework.

You will spearhead various initiatives, from updating security governance documents to fostering a robust security culture within our teams. This pivotal position gives you the opportunity to reinforce and surpass all stakeholder’s expectations (and your own!) by ensuring Airservices' unwavering commitment to safety, environmental sustainability, and compliance excellence.

 

Responsibilities: -

  • Lead and execute updates to our suite of security governance documents.
  • Offer expert guidance to our national Facilities Security Officer Network and other key stakeholders.
  • Design and deliver bespoke security training and security promotion for internal teams, including the FSO Network.
  • Develop and maintain Security Business Continuity Plans.
  • Oversee the FSO Network Community of Practice.
  • Advise and implement cutting-edge security measures for Airservices.
  • Contribute to our security reporting requirements.
  • Assist in devising strategies to seamlessly integrate the Protective Security Policy Framework training and governance requirements.

The Person

We are seeking a dynamic and resilient individual ready to make a significant impact within a high-performing and forward-thinking team in safeguarding Airservices' legacy of excellence in safety, security, and compliance.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Proven experience in delivering Australian Government security awareness programs.
  • Certificate IV in Security Risk Management or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in security operations and risk management, with a track record of success in aviation, critical infrastructure, or government settings.
  • Ability to obtain an ASIC and Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance.
  • Exceptional influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
