We are currently seeking applications for Aviation Rescue Firefighters across a range of locations.
While locations may possibly change, current anticipated locations are Proserpine, Mackay, Hamilton Island, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Hobart, Alice Springs, Broome, Karratha & Port Hedland. Applicants are encouraged to nominate their preferences in regards to locations where they would be willing to be employed as an Aviation Rescue Firefighter. However, any offers will be determined with regards to the operational requirements and positions may not be able to be offered at preferred locations. Throughout this process further stations may be identified with vacancies therefore we may also recruit to Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, Darwin, Cairns, Townsville & Launceston.

Aviation Firefighters rapidly respond to aircraft incidents and fires at airports, provide rescue and first-aid services for aircraft passengers and crew, deliver technical advice on fire safety and assist in educating users about fire fighting and safety. You will be required to carry out functions that are both physically and mentally challenging, whilst working to a roster ensuring a good and healthy work-life balance.

EARN AS YOU LEARN
You will commence a training program in Melbourne in March 2020 where you will gain the required qualifications and skills before commencing as an operational Aviation Rescue Firefighter.
Throughout the approximate 15 week training program, you will earn $42, 440 per annum plus superannuation. When you obtain your qualification, your salary will increase to $63, 010 per annum plus superannuation as per the Aviation Rescue and Fire Fighting Enterprise Agreement.

ENTRY STANDARDS & MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
All applicants must submit a formal application online and meet the minimum entry standards. Applicants must also be available to attend a physical aptitude test between September & October 2019 (locations to be confirmed) and an assessment centre between November & December 2019.
