Airservices is a government owned organisation providing safe, secure, efficient and environmentally responsible services to the aviation industry.
Each year we manage over four million aircraft movements carrying more than 156 million passengers, and provide air navigation services across 11 per cent of the world’s airspace.
The Application Services Manager will use highly developed information technology knowledge to enhance productivity in the complex and diverse area of Application management, support, implementation and customer engagement. This includes managing the organisations Applications portfolio and vendor support contracts.
You will be an integral part of the Service Design and Delivery leadership team and the wider Information Management and Data Services (IM&DS) Group. You will help lead in the establishment of and maintain a high-performing and accountable function; and continue to deliver Airservices’ record of Safety, Environmental, WHS, Risk and Compliance excellence.
This role provides centrally managed support with national coverage in all Airservices locations, you will be accountable for delivering against organisational SLA’s and to customer service expectations.
The successful applicant for this role will require excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including service providers, as well as create and maintain detailed records for all configuration items and must be able to demonstrate sound understanding of finances and fiduciary management.
Other key characteristics include the ability to think on your feet, work independently and as part of a team, ability to plan, being result orientated, strong people management skills, agility in delivery and tenacity.

Skills and Experience
- High level business and technology capability demonstrated through industry and/or vendor roles, and experience providing leadership to highly skilled professional resources, including managers, team leaders, contract workforce and technologists.
- Managing the delivery of complex programs of work with a significant technology and operations component.
- Delivering enterprise application capabilities as a service.
- Delivering and sustaining 24/7 mission critical technology capabilities.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Management or Information Technology or equivalent are desirable. Membership of relevant professional associations or institutes will be well regarded.
