The Role & The Team
As a Senior Engineering Specialist (Mechanical), you will provide technical leadership across the design, delivery, testing and commissioning of critical mechanical infrastructure projects that support Airservices' national operations. Working closely with project managers, contractors and operational stakeholders, you will ensure mechanical systems are safe, compliant, reliable and fit for purpose throughout the project lifecycle.
You'll join a highly skilled engineering team responsible for delivering infrastructure outcomes across a diverse portfolio of operational facilities. This role offers the opportunity to influence major infrastructure projects, provide expert technical advice and mentor the next generation of engineers.

The Person
You are a senior Mechanical Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, influencing project outcomes and working collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders. You bring strong technical expertise, commercial awareness and a passion for coaching and developing others.
The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex mechanical infrastructure, building services or facilities projects.
- Experience preparing and reviewing mechanical designs, technical specifications and engineering documentation.
- Experience in testing, commissioning and deployment of mechanical systems.
- Proven coaching, mentoring and technical leadership experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering.
- RPEQ or RPEV registration, or the ability to obtain registration.
Highly Regarded
- Experience working within critical infrastructure, aviation, transport, utilities or other highly regulated environments.
- Experience in HVAC, building services and mechanical asset systems.
