The Role & The Team
As a Senior Engineering Specialist (Electrical Maintenance), you will provide technical leadership across the maintenance, performance and lifecycle management of critical electrical systems supporting Airservices operations nationwide. Working closely with engineering, maintenance, facilities and asset management teams, you will identify improvement opportunities, manage technical risk and ensure electrical assets continue to meet reliability, availability and compliance requirements
You'll join a highly skilled engineering team responsible for maintaining critical infrastructure that supports Air Navigation Services, Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting Services and corporate facilities. This role offers the opportunity to influence asset strategy, provide specialist technical advice and mentor engineers across the business.

The Person
You are an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong maintenance and asset management background who enjoys solving complex technical challenges in a safety-critical environment. You are a collaborative stakeholder manager, can provide expert technical guidance and are passionate about developing others through coaching and mentoring.
The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated experience in Electrical Maintenance, Asset Management and Reliability Engineering.
- Experience managing electrical assets and infrastructure throughout their lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems including LV distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators and power systems.
- Proven coaching, mentoring and technical leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of risk management, compliance and electrical asset performance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- RPEQ or RPEV registration, or the ability to obtain registration.
Highly Regarded
- Experience working in critical infrastructure, aviation, transport, utilities or other highly regulated environments.
- Experience applying NCC requirements, AS/NZS 3000 and relevant Australian Standards.
- Experience with large-scale distributed electrical systems
