Summary

Join Airservices Australia and lead the development of safety promotion, education and awareness initiatives that strengthen safety outcomes across the aviation industry. Working with customers, industry stakeholders and internal teams, you will create engaging communications and campaigns that build safety awareness and foster a strong safety culture.

The Role & The Team

As the Safety Communications Specialist, you will lead the development and execution of safety promotion, education and awareness programs targeted at Airservices' customers and the broader aviation sector. This job shares position focuses on external audiences, while a counterpart manages internal safety communications.

Working closely with Safety, Service Delivery, Customer Engagement and Communications teams, as well as external stakeholders including the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), you will design and deliver impactful campaigns, educational initiatives and industry engagement communications that promote safety across aviation. The team is passionate about enhancing aviation safety and it values collaboration, innovation and stakeholder engagement to drive meaningful change.

The Person

You are a creative and collaborative communications professional who is passionate about safety, stakeholder engagement and delivering meaningful outcomes. You enjoy building strong relationships, developing engaging content and working across diverse teams to influence positive change.

 

The successful applicant will have:

  • Demonstrated experience developing, managing and executing promotion, education or awareness communications that engage target audiences.
  • Strong project organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver work which supports strategic objectives.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to confidently present information to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to engage and build trusted relationships with stakeholders across multiple levels and organisations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and gain commitment to initiatives and ideas.
  • A flexible, creative and team-oriented approach, with a willingness to adapt and contribute wherever needed.
  • Qualifications in communications, marketing, graphic design, product design or a related discipline.
