The Role & The Team

As the Senior Governance and Reporting Advisor, you will be accountable for contributing to the effective and efficient design of the GRC framework, whilst driving good GRC culture and practices across our organisational frameworks and their users. This role will require you to work across multiple GRC streams to drive ideation of improvement initiatives across all streams whilst delivering desired unit performance outcomes.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Designing, implementing and maintaining the relevant standards, procedures, guides and reference documentation under the GRC Framework, including provision of supporting tools and fit-for purpose training to users.
  • Supporting the reporting to the Executive / Board Audit and Risk Committee (BARC), including the Enterprise Risk, Compliance & Fraud (RCF) report and any standalone GRC papers.
  • Driving key initiatives to ensure delivery of the GRC Unit Plan.
  • Supporting the GRC ServiceNow system administrator.
  • Providing expert advice on fraud matters, including controls design and assurance.
  • Leading and performing end-to-end assurance reviews over GRC requirements.

This role is offered as a 12-month fixed-term position.

The Person

The successful applicant will have:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification e.g. degree or diploma in: accounting, risk management, commerce, management, audit or other relevant field.
  • More than five years of demonstrated experience in the application of GRC concepts and practices (or related field).
  • Knowledge of assurance concepts and experience in leading assurance reviews.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching and training.
  • Highly developed influencing and liaison skills across a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Highly effective oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in advanced data analytics and dashboard reporting.
  • High level problem solving, analytical and reporting skills across a broad range of strategic and tactical issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in utilising technology and systems to achieve work objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, set and review priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively while remaining flexible to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Desirable: Appropriate governance, risk, compliance or audit-related professional qualification or membership. Experience with ServiceNow and or other risk and compliance software.
