The Role & The Team

As a Senior Technical Officer, you will perform maintenance and support to airways facilities, ensuring the operational safety and integrity of the National Airways System.

This role will see you actively identify opportunities for continuous improvement of service delivery and work practices whilst upholding a safety-first mindset.

You will maintain an awareness and understanding of how multiple systems/domains integrate across operational services, and the impact that work undertaken can have on operational service delivery. You will ensure data relevant to all work undertaken is recorded promptly and accurately in the maintenance management systems, and that related engineering and safety issues are communicated via prescribed systems in a timely and accurate manner.

In a maintenance service delivery context, with often limited guidance, technical aspects you will be responsible for include:

    • Preventative and corrective maintenance;
    • Software management;
    • Hardware modifications;
