Airservices Australia is embarking on a program of works to implement mechanical, structural and electrical upgrade to the existing Air traffic control tower at Kingsford Smith Airport (KSA) in addition to an upgrade from the current Eurocat tower technology system to INTAS is required which is a critical enabler of the OneSKY Program as it provides the required interfaces for integration with CMATS Air Traffic Management (ATM) functions.

Each year we manage over four million aircraft movements carrying more than 156 million passengers and provide air navigation services across 11 per cent of the world’s airspace. 


As The Program Test Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution and management of Verification and Validation (V&V) testing activities of two projects: 

Life Extension (LEX) – implementing building refurbishment and services upgrades.  
Technology – Implementing INTAS and supporting changes into Sydney Tower. 

You will work across multiple stakeholder groups including the Sydney KSA Tower Program, Vendors/Suppliers, Technical Teams, Operational and Business teams/SMEs to effectively manage and deliver program testing outcomes. This role is also responsible for identifying and establishing the testing capabilities (test resources, tools, environments) required to deliver the test and evaluation activities across the program. 

The Projects are based in Sydney, but Melbourne based applicants will be also considered.  

With this in mind, we are we looking for… 


This is a unique and excited opportunity for an experienced Test Program Manager (5+ years’ experience) in both infrastructure and technology to join the Technology Testing Services unit within Chief Technology Enablement Officer Group, at AirServices Australia.  

Working with vendors, technical and non-technical operational stakeholders, you are highly skilled communicator with demonstrated expertise in stakeholder engagement. Your ability to influence and manage others to drive outcomes, will be imperative to your success in the role.  

As the testing subject matter expert on the program, you will provide required advice and guidance to the stakeholders on all testing related matters. You have in-depth knowledge and expertise in Verification and Validation testing processes, phases and methodologies, and the industry standards for testing and system engineering such as, IEEE 1012/29119, IEEE 15288 

You will have experience and understanding of the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and legislative building requirements and although not mandatory, certification would be highly regarded. Strong skills in test planning and development of program level test strategies 

This position is a 24 month, fixed term FTE role. Commencing early November 2021.
