The Role and The Team
Airservices Australia is seeking a dynamic and experienced Cyber Design & Assurance Lead to join our Technology Strategy, Assurance & Cyber team. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for managing the delivery of enterprise-wide security governance, including the secure by design process, the management of commercial delivery partners and supporting cyber design and assurance outcomes.
As Cyber Design & Assurance Lead, you will:
- Lead a team of skilled cyber professionals to deliver cyber security governance, risk assurance, audit and compliance
- Act as the key design and assurance authority for the business units and security service providers
- Provide technical advice relating to the implementation of security standards and strategies
- Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders and service providers
- Provide end-to-end support for any external security assessment (audit and compliance assessments) to ensure the delivery of required outcomes
- Monitor and report on control effectiveness, driving remediation strategies
- Contribute to enterprise-wide cyber resilience and strategic planning
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven experience in cyber security governance, risk assurance, audit and compliance within a complex enterprise
- Deep understanding of Australian Government security frameworks (ISM, PSPF)
- Strong grasp of threat vectors and control effectiveness in ICT and OT environments
- Ability to translate technical risks into business language
- Leadership experience with a focus on stakeholder engagement and team development
- Qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent (highly desirable)
- Eligibility for an Australian Government NV1 Security Clearance
